Position Overview - Senior Manager:
We are seeking a Senior Manager to oversee procurement for Marketing Services within our organization. This role involves spearheading strategic sourcing initiatives, managing vendor relationships, and driving continuous enhancements in marketing, media, and communication agency partnerships, along with strategy, insights, and market research sectors.
Compensation: $38.00 / HR
Location: Hybrid work model available
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Manager include:
- Formulating and executing sourcing strategies in alignment with essential Marketing stakeholders
- Evaluating current and anticipated business requirements, performing market analysis and benchmarking studies
- Delivering strategic recommendations to executive management and presenting on procurement opportunities
- Identifying supply sources for marketing services, challenging spend owners on vendor choices, and promoting vendor consolidation when beneficial
- Creating and managing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Negotiating and drafting Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Statements of Work (SOW) in collaboration with the Legal department
- Establishing strong partnerships with vendors to encourage collaborative quality, cost, and service innovations
- Overseeing vendor qualification and performance, setting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Monitoring financial performance across each spend subcategory and assessing budgetary impacts
- Identifying ongoing process improvements and staying informed on the latest procurement techniques and tools
Qualifications for the Senior Manager include:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Finance; a Master's degree is advantageous
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement or sourcing, particularly in marketing-related sourcing
- Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) is preferred
- Expertise in strategic sourcing, including opportunity identification, spend analysis, and sourcing strategy development
- Skills in project management, development of RFX documents, and contract negotiation
- Experience in supplier benchmarking and ensuring contract compliance
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and cultivate key stakeholder relationships
- Experience in team leadership and mentorship
