Overview
The IT Business Relationship Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless collaboration between the IT department and various business units at NYPA. This position serves as a central point of contact, fostering a strong alliance between IT and the business sectors.

Key Responsibilities
Planning and Prioritization:
Develop a comprehensive understanding of business requirements, identifying opportunities to leverage technology effectively. Collaborate with business leaders to prioritize IT investments and provide strategic insights to IT management.

Technology Innovation Intake:
Support business and IT leaders in the creation and enhancement of new technological capabilities that align with evolving business needs. Define business objectives through detailed business cases, analyze current processes, and recommend viable technology solutions, ensuring a solid return on investment.

Business and IT Alignment:
Facilitate the mapping of business goals to technology planning and implementation. Coordinate cross-functional teams to develop business cases and solutions, acting as the primary advocate for business units in IT strategic services.

Communications and Relationship Building:
Engage with senior management to communicate complex technical information effectively. Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, addressing challenges and negotiating solutions collaboratively.

Technology Leadership:
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in business technology. Utilize this knowledge to enhance technology strategies and plans.

Advising, Coaching, and Mentoring:
Serve as a technical resource and advisor, providing meaningful solutions to complex issues. Mentor colleagues on technical versatility and problem-solving skills, offering leadership in technology management and strategy development.

Qualifications
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, HR, Engineering, or a related field, with a preference for a graduate degree. A minimum of 8 years of experience in information technology is required, particularly in the design, development, and implementation of large-scale systems.
