Position Overview:

Martin/Martin Consulting Engineers is seeking a seasoned civil project engineer to enhance our engineering team. This role will involve civil design opportunities across various projects within the Front Range of Colorado and beyond. The ideal candidate will exhibit a proactive attitude, possess robust technical skills, and demonstrate effective project management and client communication abilities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to master planning and initial design concepts.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and fee assessments.
  • Oversee design budgets and project timelines.
  • Act as the primary liaison with clients, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Lead multiple engineering projects from design inception to construction completion.
  • Guide and mentor a team of civil engineers and CAD professionals.
  • Utilize AutoCAD/Civil3D for the design and detailing of medium to large-scale projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Participate in project meetings throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Conduct quality control checks on deliverables.
  • Provide construction administration support, including reviewing shop drawings and responding to RFIs.
  • Monitor project finances and approve client invoicing.
  • Engage in collection and accounts receivable activities.
  • Be available for overtime work as needed.
Working Conditions and Skills:

This role is primarily technical and requires both office and fieldwork to complete various tasks. The following abilities are essential:
  • Ability to navigate both indoor and outdoor environments, including non-ADA compliant construction sites.
  • Capacity to remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Repetitive tasks involving keyboard and mouse usage.
  • Capability to carry, ascend, and descend ladders.
  • Ability to identify colors and communicate effectively in English.
  • Proficient in exchanging accurate information.
  • Occasional lifting of equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and atypical environments.
Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in site development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational capabilities.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently for prolonged periods.
  • Strong written, technical, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Dedication to client service and a collaborative team approach.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Experience working with diverse clients, regulatory bodies, and authorities.
  • Proven skills in marketing and business development.
  • Possession of a PE license in Arkansas or the ability to obtain one within three months.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with AutoCAD/Civil3D for civil construction documentation.
  • Strong understanding of municipal, commercial, and related site development projects.
