Description

Martin/Martin Consulting Engineers is in search of a skilled Civil Project Engineer to enhance our Civil Engineering Division. This position provides an exceptional opportunity to engage in a variety of site development initiatives, encompassing healthcare, multifamily housing, commercial, industrial, and educational projects.

Under the mentorship of a Senior Engineer, you will oversee and design projects from inception to completion. This role will allow you to collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and others, offering invaluable experience and exposure early in your career. Key Responsibilities:

Project Design and Oversight:

  • Employ AutoCAD/Civil3D to design, detail, and coordinate small to medium-sized projects while adhering to budgetary and scheduling constraints. Lead and mentor a team of civil engineers and CAD technicians.
Client and Team Collaboration:
  • Act as the primary liaison with clients, contractors, and other design professionals. Participate in project meetings throughout the design and construction phases.
Quality Assurance and Administration:
  • Conduct quality control reviews of work produced, ensuring precision and compliance with standards. Assist in project construction administration, including shop drawing evaluations, responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), and site observations.
Financial Oversight:
  • Track project budgets and review/approve client invoices. Be prepared to work additional hours as needed to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • Registered PE license in the State of Colorado or the ability to obtain one within three months.
  • 5-8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in SITE DEVELOPMENT, LAND DEVELOPMENT, or INFRASTRUCTURE.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience with a PE license.
  • Familiarity with or proficiency in Civil3D, StormCAD, FlowMaster, WaterCAD, AutoTurn.
  • A strong interest in participating in company initiatives.
  • Experience in construction fieldwork.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
