Senior Civil Engineer - Public Works

Location: Denver, CO

Salary range: $100 - $180k DOE

Ripple Effect Consulting is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer specializing in Public Works for a full-time role. This position demands a minimum of 10 years of professional experience and a valid Professional Engineer license in Colorado, with a focus on Public Works initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the Lead Civil Engineer on Public Works projects.
  2. Draft preliminary engineering reports.
  3. Investigate jurisdictional standards for design and construction documentation.
  4. Formulate proposals, contracts, and project work plans and timelines.
  5. Produce design and construction drawings utilizing AutoCAD and research-based data.
  6. Coordinate management efforts and engage in marketing strategies.
  7. Create GIS exhibits.
  8. Conduct site inspections and document observations.
  9. Collaborate directly with team members across various expertise levels.
  10. Record and disseminate meeting minutes and assist with general project communications.
  11. Prepare graphic materials for presentations and documentation.
  12. Oversee staff in hydrology, hydraulic tasks, flood analysis, stormwater management, and project oversight.
  13. Initiate and guide high-level design discussions and prepare monthly forecasts and estimates as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  2. PE license in Colorado with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
  3. Expertise in generating precise construction plans and reports.
  4. Ability to work autonomously within a collaborative environment and manage multiple projects effectively.
  5. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Capability to mentor staff and evaluate work for quality assurance.
  7. Strong leadership and management skills.
  8. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D.
  9. Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Physical Requirements:
