Position Overview:
As a Senior Project Manager in Civil Engineering at Synectics, you will be responsible for steering complex civil engineering initiatives from inception to completion. Your expertise will ensure that projects are executed efficiently, meeting both client expectations and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Direct and manage all stages of civil engineering projects, encompassing planning, design, execution, and closure.
  • Strategic Planning: Formulate detailed project plans that outline timelines, budgets, and resource distribution to guarantee timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other key stakeholders to clarify project scope, objectives, and expected outcomes.
  • Financial Management: Supervise project budgets, expenditures, and financial projections, identifying opportunities for cost savings while ensuring adherence to budgetary limits.
  • Risk Management: Recognize potential risks and challenges, devising strategies to mitigate them effectively.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of project activities and generate regular progress reports.
  • Technical Guidance: Offer technical leadership and oversight to project teams, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
  • Design Review: Evaluate and approve engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Team Development: Mentor junior engineers and project staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work atmosphere.
  • Quality Control: Implement and uphold quality assurance procedures, conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Business Development: Assist in business development efforts by preparing proposals and cost estimates for prospective projects, while nurturing relationships with clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in civil engineering, particularly in land development, with a proven ability to lead complex projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing intricate engineering projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and project management practices.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Experience in risk management, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Proficient in engineering design software, including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A collaborative team player.
