Position Overview

The Senior Project Manager for Site Civil Engineering plays a pivotal role in ensuring the technical excellence and timely delivery of project outcomes within budget constraints.

This role encompasses senior-level oversight of various projects, fostering relationships with governmental agencies, municipalities, and consulting firms. The individual will have significant responsibilities in technical, management, and client relations for the site civil team, contributing to strategic planning and the growth of the practice in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in client relationship management for designated key clients.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to formulate proposal sections, technical strategies, and scopes of work.
  • Conduct meetings with both new and existing clients to gather project insights.
  • Participate in proposal presentations, interviews, and business development initiatives.

Provide senior-level quality control for all plan designs and specifications developed by the site civil team.

Deliver high-quality projects on schedule, within budget, and to client satisfaction.

  • Mentor and guide staff in the development of final design plans.
  • Coordinate work efforts and review the performance of team members.
  • Encourage a collaborative environment across divisions and offices, promoting the culture of Shrewsusa.
  • Act as the senior project manager or project expert for specific tasks or projects.
Project Management Duties

Assist in the planning, design, monitoring, and management of substantial new construction, renovation, and improvement projects.

Provide technical guidance on project scope, detailed scheduling, manpower requirements, and budget considerations for assigned elements.

Mitigate project risks effectively.

  • Delegate tasks and projects to staff while coordinating team efforts to support project objectives.
  • Manage project scope, document changes, and seek amendments as necessary.

Engage in construction support activities, including responding to requests for information (RFIs), reviewing submittals, conducting site visits, and making design revisions.

Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and vendor bid evaluations while managing multiple projects concurrently.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Over 10 years of experience in site civil engineering.
  • Proven track record in project management and consulting services.
  • Professional Engineer license in Indiana; additional licensure may be required.

If utilizing a personal vehicle for work-related duties, proof of insurance and a valid driver's license will be required.
