Position Overview

The Medical Scheduler is responsible for coordinating medical appointments for workers at Hanford, utilizing scheduling systems to ensure efficient operations. This role involves gathering accurate information, making scheduling arrangements, and addressing inquiries related to medical examinations and program assignments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify workers due for examinations and determine appropriate exams for appointments.
  • Prioritize and schedule examinations based on examiner availability, examination requirements, and work locations.
  • Coordinate appointment times for multiple services to minimize employee time away from work.
  • Adjust schedules to accommodate daily and emergency client needs.
  • Operate the scheduling system and maintain data integrity according to established protocols.
  • Communicate with site personnel for daily scheduling tasks via phone and email.
  • Input data into the scheduling system to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Generate various reports as per established procedures.
  • Develop, review, and maintain scheduling procedures and documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to document control systems for uniform documentation.
  • Provide training to users of the scheduling system as needed.
  • Assist management with the preparation and analysis of scheduling data and reports upon request.
  • Promote and adhere to health and safety practices.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a medical environment as a receptionist or in a similar role.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office or similar software.

Compensation

Hourly wage ranges from $23.00 to $25.00.
