Position Overview

The Medical Scheduler plays a vital role in coordinating medical appointments for workers undergoing examinations. This position requires the collection of accurate information and the organization of scheduling arrangements, as well as addressing inquiries related to medical exams and program assignments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify workers due for examinations and determine the necessary exams for each appointment.
  • Prioritize scheduling based on examiner availability, examination requirements, and work locations.
  • Coordinate appointment times for multiple services to minimize time away from work for employees.
  • Adjust schedules to accommodate daily and urgent client needs.
  • Utilize the scheduling system effectively and maintain accurate system data.
  • Communicate with site personnel regarding scheduling functions via phone and email.
  • Ensure data accuracy and validity within the scheduling system.
  • Generate various reports in accordance with established procedures.
  • Develop, update, and maintain scheduling procedures and desk instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with document control systems for uniform documentation.
  • Provide training to users of the scheduling system as needed.
  • Assist management with the preparation and analysis of scheduling data and reports upon request.
  • Promote and adhere to health and safety practices.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a medical environment as a receptionist or in a similar role.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office or similar software.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $23.00 to $25.00.
