Job Overview

The Strategic Human Resources Partner (HRBP) serves as the leading HR authority for designated regions. This role is pivotal in driving organizational success through the execution of comprehensive HR programs and policies. As a key member of the regional leadership team, the HRBP fosters a positive organizational culture, addresses operational challenges, and provides expert consultation on HR-related issues. This position acts as a bridge between local management and specialized HR functions, ensuring effective HR strategies and initiatives are implemented at the regional level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance employee engagement by effectively managing employment law, HR policies, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Offer coaching and support to both employees and management on various HR topics, including employee relations and performance management, while identifying when escalation is necessary.
  • Collaborate with Strategic HR Business Partners and Centers of Expertise to ensure effective HR service delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Stay informed on legal and regulatory compliance matters affecting employment and take proactive measures to ensure adherence.
  • Participate in leadership meetings, providing a cohesive HR perspective on business and employee issues.
  • Influence local leadership to promote a unified organizational vision and approach.
  • Propose innovative policies and procedures to enhance departmental efficiency and service delivery.
  • Manage employee relations issues by monitoring engagement levels, conducting investigations, and advising management on necessary actions.
  • Oversee the implementation of HR policies and programs across various business units, ensuring responsiveness to local needs.
  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition and Development teams to enhance onboarding and orientation processes.
  • Maintain oversight of the local budget and seek necessary approvals.
  • Ensure proper documentation of HR matters and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Be available for flexible working hours as needed, including occasional travel to various locations for meetings and employee engagement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned that align with the responsibilities of this role.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required. SPHR certification is highly recommended.

Experience:

  • 4-6 years of experience as an HR Generalist, with a focus on consulting for mid to senior-level leadership.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of key HR functions, including Talent Acquisition, Organizational Development, Compensation, Employee Relations, and Risk Management.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to interpret complex documents and organizational policies.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations at all levels.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills for effective problem-solving and investigation.
  • Ability to appreciate diverse perspectives and work styles.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage workflow effectively.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Tools and Technology:

  • Proficient in using personal computers and general office equipment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS tools.
