Key Responsibilities
- Drive employee engagement by effectively managing employment laws, HR policies, and leadership development initiatives.
- Provide coaching and support to both employees and management on all HR-related matters, including employee relations and performance management.
- Collaborate with Strategic HR Business Partners and Centers of Expertise to ensure the successful delivery of HR initiatives tailored to business needs.
- Stay informed about legal and regulatory compliance issues affecting employment and take necessary actions to ensure adherence.
- Participate in leadership meetings, contributing a cohesive HR perspective on business and employee matters.
- Influence local leaders to adopt a unified organizational vision and perspective.
- Propose innovative approaches and policies to enhance departmental efficiency and service delivery.
- Manage employee relations issues by monitoring engagement levels, conducting investigations, and advising leadership on necessary actions.
- Oversee the implementation of HR policies and programs across business units, ensuring responsiveness to local needs.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and Development teams to enhance onboarding processes.
- Manage local budgetary controls and seek approvals as necessary.
- Ensure proper documentation of HR activities and maintain accurate employee records.
- Be available for flexible working hours as required, including occasional travel for meetings and employee engagement.
- Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of this role.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required. SPHR certification is highly recommended.
Experience:
- 4-6 years of experience as an HR Generalist, with a focus on consulting for mid to senior-level leadership.
- Comprehensive knowledge in key HR areas such as Talent Acquisition, Organizational Development, Compensation, Employee Relations, and more.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytical skills to interpret various documents and organizational policies.
- In-depth understanding of employment laws at the federal, state, and local levels.
- Exceptional critical thinking abilities to address employee issues and develop effective solutions.
- Demonstrated sensitivity to diverse perspectives and working styles.
- Ability to manage structured tasks while maintaining a productive workflow.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
