Materials Supervisor

The Materials Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for continuously improving production planning, inventory control, customer service, and logistics. The ideal candidate will provide support to the Production, Maintenance, and Warehouse Departments to deliver high-quality containers in greater numbers while maintaining a superior level of service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide professional communication with customers through verbal and electronic means.
- Production Planning: Perform daily and monthly scheduling to maximize equipment efficiencies.
- Purchasing: Purchase raw materials and shipping materials needed by the production departments to manufacture quality containers efficiently.
- Inventory Control: Supervise and assist with inventory control through cycle counting, production scheduling, and warehousing.
- Communication: Communicate directly with customers to satisfy product and delivery needs, information or planning requirements, and materials specifications.
- Team Management: Supervise and train materials employees, including the warehouse supervisor, materials specialist, resin handler, and seasonal materials clerk.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; combined education and/or experience may be considered.
- Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency with various computer programs and systems, including MS Word, Excel, SAP, MII, Email, Ariba, EM6, etc.
