Job Overview

The New IEM, LLC is a leading manufacturer of customized electrical distribution and power quality solutions in North America. ROLE OBJECTIVE:

The primary function of the Scheduler is to support the Production Department with all scheduling activities.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Revise and maintain Production Schedules using INFOR software.
  • Update tracking tools relevant to assigned production areas.
  • Assist Production Planners with necessary support.
  • Prepare and distribute fabrication packages post-engineering release to Mechanical Supervisors for implementation according to manufacturing timelines.
  • Generate and manage weekly production reports as requested by the Manufacturing Manager.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors to identify actions required to uphold schedules.
  • Adjust and reschedule orders to accommodate expedited requests, material shortages, and customer cancellations as directed.
  • Compile daily line efficiency reports for the Production Department and monitor daily production status.
  • Follow established safety protocols diligently.
  • Comply with scheduling policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Communication: Clear communication is vital for conveying instructions, facilitating discussions, and ensuring alignment among team members.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to coordinate tasks, schedules, and resources effectively.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Capability to build strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and other departments.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  • Experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Physical Demands:

Activities: Sitting – 50%, Walking/Standing – 50%

Lifting: Frequently lift up to 30 lbs; occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Bending: Ability to bend, squat, crawl, and climb.

Vision: Prolonged periods of close work on computer screens and the ability to see small or detailed items.

Mental Demands: Ability to interpret, analyze, research, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Work Environment: Climate-controlled office with exposure to outdoor conditions such as extreme temperatures, noise, and dust.
