Overview

The primary responsibility of the team member is to ensure an exceptional patient experience at all times, contributing to the organization's vision of delivering outstanding care to patients and their families. Members of the Information Technology Services team are tasked with the secure management of information systems throughout their lifecycle. This includes understanding the information systems under their purview, recognizing sensitive data that is stored, transmitted, or processed, and enforcing security principles such as least privilege and least functionality. They must also be aware of potential information security incidents and their role in responding to such events.

Responsibilities include designing information systems that align with user needs and the overall architecture of the organization. Under general supervision, the team member will gather and analyze information from system users to define the scope and objectives of the system. They will prepare flowcharts, models, and procedures, and conduct feasibility studies to explore potential system solutions. Additionally, they will draft system and configuration specifications to ensure that the implemented system meets user requirements and maintain technical documentation to assist users and support ongoing operations.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, Required.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of experience, Required. Preferred experience includes two years as an Epic Security Analyst or in a similar Epic Analyst role.
  • Licensure/Certification: Must obtain application systems certification and pass all required tests within three attempts.
  • Additional Skills (required): Strong multitasking and time management abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to engage effectively with technical teams, providers, leaders, and end users. Creative problem-solving skills are necessary, including the capacity to research, test, and implement solutions. Travel to various practices and sites may be required, as well as attendance at on-site meetings.
