About the Role:
The FP&A team is currently looking for a Finance Analyst to assist the organization with financial planning and consolidation efforts. This role will involve developing, communicating, and monitoring departmental budgets.

This dynamic and fast-paced position will provide strategic business partner support and financial assistance with an emphasis on reporting, forecasting, and support for strategic initiatives.

You will report to the Finance Manager and be based in our New York City or Princeton office.

Your Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with business partners to review and prepare budgets and forecasts.
Update and manage forecasting models and scenario planning.

Develop business case models, charts, and reporting dashboards to deliver analysis and insights that assess the financial implications of decisions for senior management.

Oversee month-end closing activities, including journal entry preparation, account analysis, and reclassifications.

Utilize key systems knowledge (SAP, BPC) to enhance the creation of more robust analytics and reporting tools, ultimately driving valuable insights and improving planning & reporting processes.

Foster and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to enhance internal processes, improve work efficiency, and quality.
Address additional ad-hoc requests as necessary based on business or financial needs.

Your Qualifications:
Strong accounting and analytical capabilities; Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting (preferred).

High proficiency in PC skills, including experience with financial applications and reporting tools, particularly Microsoft Excel (capable of performing complex functions) and Google Docs.

Planning, project management, and organizational skills, including effective time management and attention to detail.
Demonstrated initiative and ability to work well under pressure, along with being a team player with a strong work ethic.
Experience in maintaining accounting records and preparing financial reports.
Ability to identify problems, gather data, draw valid conclusions, and propose solutions.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups of business partners.
Knowledge of or experience with SAP, TM1, or related programs (a plus).
0-3 years of relevant experience.
Proven experience navigating a complex and challenging business environment.
Analytical expertise, capable of synthesizing data and providing insightful narratives.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and effectively balance competing priorities and deadlines.
Experience with ERP systems (TM1, Alteryx) is a plus.
