The Budgeting and Financial Analysis Expert works collaboratively with team members to improve operational efficiency.
As a vital member of the Facilities Budget Procurement & Analysis (FBPA) team, this role supports the Manager and Associate Director by delivering focused assistance to all Facilities departments. Responsibilities encompass managing accounts payable, performing trend analyses, implementing process enhancements, and generating reports to inform key stakeholders on financial issues. The Budgeting and Financial Analysis Expert also manages complex financial reconciliations, transactional processing, and analytical reporting, while participating in special projects that require coordination with cross-departmental teams.
Key Responsibilities:Departmental Purchase Order Management & Analysis
- Process monthly purchase order requisitions using PeopleSoft for Facilities departments.
- Collaborate with departmental staff to assess purchasing requirements and provide trend analyses.
- Oversee open purchase orders and conduct financial reporting in PeopleSoft.
- Assist in the onboarding and management of suppliers.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Generate data to support budget operations and create reports for Finance & Treasury.
- Provide analytical insights and strategic guidance related to financial matters and departmental budgets.
- Prepare various reports and analyses as needed.
Financial & Accounting Administration
- Support the year-end closing process and conduct financial trend analyses.
- Verify and post transactions for account reconciliations.
Compliance Support & Training
- Work with stakeholders to ensure compliance and deliver training on financial systems.
- Educate new employees on electronic requisitioning systems.
Accounts Payable Management, Coordination & Analysis
- Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure timely invoice payments.
- Oversee the invoicing process and guarantee accurate payments.
Special Projects
- Assist in managing utility payments and initiatives aimed at optimizing purchasing.
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5-7 years of pertinent experience.
- Strong financial analysis capabilities and a commitment to integrity.
- High attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred:
- Experience in accounting, accounts payable, or purchasing.
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft, Maximo, and Onbase.
