Responsibilities

Core Duties:

  • Perform financial analysis and assist in the development and implementation of budgetary processes.
  • Generate financial reports, schedules, and analyses to support budgeting efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Budget Director and CFO to deliver essential financial insights.
  • Assist Principal Investigators in the preparation and submission of proposals.
  • Manage Oracle system maintenance tasks for the Budget Office.
  • Contribute to the formulation and revision of Budget Office procedures and documentation.
  • Efficiently complete any additional assigned responsibilities.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related discipline; an MBA is advantageous.
  • 5-8 years of experience in budgeting and financial management.
  • Familiarity with Oracle financial systems is beneficial.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Expertise in developing and managing financial spreadsheets.
  • Strong understanding of Cost Accounting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and proficiency in analyzing business decisions.
  • Outstanding organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Aptitude for building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to independently research, interpret, and present data effectively.
  • Capacity to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications.
