Job Summary:
As a key member of our team, the Assistant Manager Clinic RN will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of patient care services. This individual will serve as a liaison between administration, physicians, staff, patients, and other departments, facilitating effective communication and collaboration. The successful candidate will participate in the development and implementation of department goals and objectives, ensuring that they are met while improving patient care and services.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations, ensuring high-quality patient care services at optimal controllable cost.
  • Assess and monitor clinical nursing practice, designing and evaluating processes to improve systems and patient care results across the continuum.
  • Function as a liaison between administration, physicians, staff, patients, and other departments, facilitating communication and acting as a patient advocate.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of department goals and objectives, ensuring that they are met.
  • May perform patient care to maintain clinical expertise, competency, and licensing necessary to fulfill job responsibilities and direct the provision of care on the unit.
  • Provide direct patient care on an as-needed basis, ensuring services are within scope of license and in compliance with all legal, regulatory, and policy requirements.
  • Incorporate the KP Nursing Vision, Model, and Values throughout their nursing practice.
  • Hire, train, supervise, counsel, discipline, and terminate assigned staff as appropriate.
  • Communicate goals, objectives, accountabilities, priorities, and authority parameters to assigned staff.
Requirements:
  • Minimum three (3) years of staff nurse experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Business Administration, or a healthcare-related field; or four (4) years of directly related experience.
  • Registered Nurse License (Hawaii) required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ambulatory Care Supervisory/leadership experience.
  • Nursing education/training experience.
  • Experience with an electronic medical record system.
  • Finance and/or business experience.
  • Knowledge of KP systems.
  • Experience with program improvement.
  • Masters Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Business Administration, or a healthcare-related field.
