This position entails:

Base hourly compensation: $37.65 to $41.41 D.O.E.

In this capacity, you will:
- Serve as a key member of the management team, undertaking limited supervisory duties. Each Senior Clinical Laboratory Scientist will focus on a designated area, becoming a subject matter expert (SME) and supporting the management team, including the Laboratory Director, Technical Director, Laboratory Manager, and Supervisor, in ensuring the area delivers accurate, reliable, and timely testing services.
- Play a crucial role in the patient care process through moderate and high-complexity testing.
- Evaluate, interpret, and communicate testing outcomes.
- Identify when corrective measures are necessary and implement effective solutions.
- Operate in a dynamic laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards.
- Promote safety, compliance, and quality assurance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a related scientific field from an accredited institution.
- Current active certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) as a medical laboratory scientist (MLS), or certification from the American Medical Technologist as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
- A minimum of four (4) years of clinical laboratory experience in a hospital or commercial laboratory setting is required.
- Proficient computer skills (Word and Excel) and familiarity with laboratory information systems.
- Preferred experience in microbiology and blood banking for Senior Medical Technologists assigned to these departments.
- For hospital environments, additional requirements may apply, including but not limited to background checks, health clearances, and compliance training.
- Successful completion of company Pre-Employment drug screening and ongoing random testing thereafter.
- Valid and current State of Hawaii license as a Technologist.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of laboratory training or experience performing high-complexity testing within the specialty area.

This role will provide routine access to protected health information (PHI).
