Position Title: Spay/Neuter Clinic Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt


POSITION SUMMARY

The Spay/Neuter Clinic Manager oversees the daily functions of the clinic, ensuring operational excellence and the achievement of organizational objectives. This role involves supervising support personnel to facilitate a smooth and effective clinic environment while providing leadership and guidance.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Staff Management:
  • Responsible for recruitment, onboarding, and oversight of clinic personnel.
  • Maintains comprehensive employee records.
  • Coordinates staff schedules and manages leave requests.
  • Ensures precise timekeeping and attendance.
  • Offers continuous performance evaluations and training for staff.
  • Supervises clinic volunteers and ensures adequate staffing levels.
  1. Operational Oversight:
  • Ensures adherence to established policies and procedures, updating them as necessary.
  • Implements proper protocols for animal handling, disease management, and patient care.
  • Maintains compliance with all relevant regulations and ensures the clinic is well-equipped and stocked.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service to the public, addressing any client concerns professionally.
  • Participates in staff meetings to discuss operational matters and share insights.
  1. Financial Management:
  • Develops and recommends the annual budget, managing resources accordingly.
  • Tracks clinic performance in financial matters and maintains regular reporting.
  • Engages in marketing efforts to expand the clinic's clientele through community outreach.
  • Collaborates with the Communications and Development Departments on promotional materials.
  • Assists in securing funding through donor relations and sponsorships.
  • Manages accounts receivable and oversees invoice processing.
  1. Media Relations:
  • Supports the Communications Department in managing media inquiries.
  • Contributes to social media content related to clinic activities.
  • Promotes spay/neuter initiatives and educates the public on responsible pet ownership.
  • Represents the clinic professionally in various community engagements.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor's degree required.
  2. Experience in customer service and public relations.
  3. Veterinary Technician experience preferred.
  4. Minimum of two years in a supervisory role within a clinical or animal care setting.
  5. Familiarity with budget management is advantageous.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The Spay/Neuter Clinic operates in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, with potential weekend and evening hours required. The role may involve working during holidays based on clinic needs. Candidates should be prepared for occasional travel for training and professional development.
