Job Summary

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising personnel, patients, and administrative duties, while ensuring the highest standard of care in the department.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the nursing unit in daily operations, including supervision of personnel and patients.
  • Assist in setting the standard of care in the department, consistent with the organization's mission, vision, and philosophy.
  • Participate in administrative and operational management, as well as long-range planning of unit(s) and area(s) assigned.
  • Serve as the manager in the absence of the department manager.
Physical Demands
  • Standing, sitting, walking, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.

Frequent static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.

Working Conditions
  • Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
  • Subjected to noise/vibrations from intercoms, telephones, and monitors.
  • Exposure to body fluids and communicable diseases.
  • Frequently works on multiple tasks and priorities at one time.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current Hawaii State license as Registered Nurse.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Depending upon area of assignment, specialty certification/training may be required.
  • Current BLS certification.
Experience
  • Minimum three (3) years progressive experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care facility.
  • One (1) year supervisory/leadership experience.
