Finance Strategy Manager
About Vaco, a prominent player in the manufacturing and life sciences sector, is looking for a Finance Strategy Manager to enhance our talented team. This newly created role will report directly to the Director of Finance, focusing on Corporate FP&A, Research & Development, and Financial Systems. As the Finance Strategy Manager, you will be pivotal in refining essential processes, improving reporting mechanisms, and fostering scalable corporate FP&A methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the annual budgeting process, working closely with various stakeholders.
- Provide the organization’s yearly business strategy and ongoing monthly forecasts.
- Continuously improve the financial planning and analytical reporting framework.
- Develop planning tools and capabilities to fulfill stakeholder requirements.
- Create and present monthly and quarterly management reports for the CFO and executive leadership.
- Deliver insights regarding Profit and Loss (P&L), Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow metrics.
- Collaborate with different business units to provide essential management insights.
- Assist in strategic initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and capital structure assessments.
- Ensure prompt delivery of financial data for executive-level presentations.
- Manage finance data model policies and troubleshoot reporting challenges.
- Implement process improvements to enhance data accuracy and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, ideally within the Life Sciences or Biotech sectors.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements (GAAP, accrual accounting).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SAP is a plus.
