Position Overview:
We are on the lookout for a dynamic and strategic Senior Financial Analyst to become a vital part of our Corporate Finance & Strategy team. This role is essential in supporting the financial health and strategic initiatives of OpenGov.

Key Responsibilities:

G&A Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Conduct thorough monthly and quarterly variance analyses comparing actual results to budget/forecast for G&A leadership, aimed at delivering actionable insights into the operational and financial performance of the organization.
- Collaborate with G&A leadership and their teams to maintain accurate monthly forecasts, ensuring high levels of forecast precision.
- Oversee the reporting of key components of G&A expenditures, including headcount, software, facilities, and capital investments.

Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Assist the Corporate Finance & Strategy team in managing OpenGov's consolidated annual planning process, including detailed analyses that support this initiative.
- Aid in the creation and upkeep of the company's monthly and quarterly management reports.

Strategic Financial Analysis:
- Perform in-depth ad hoc analyses of operational and financial data to drive insights and actions across the organization.
- Contribute to strategic projects, including mergers and acquisitions due diligence, capital allocation strategies, and process optimization efforts as needed.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Adaptive Planning within the Finance team, utilizing Adaptive to deliver timely, accurate, and detailed financial reporting.
- Effectively partner and problem-solve with cross-functional stakeholders throughout the reporting process, including Sales Operations, Business Systems, Data & BI, Accounting, HR, and Finance.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in-house Finance or Business Operations within an early-stage or growth-stage company, or in investment banking/consulting with exposure to similar environments.
- Experience in a SaaS or B2B subscription model is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a technical aptitude for financial systems development, reporting, and automation.
- Solid understanding of accounting and finance principles.
- A commitment to continuous self-improvement and the ability to handle competing deadlines and shifting priorities with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and Google Slides for analysis and presentation.
- Excellent communication skills across various functions.

Compensation:
$80,000 - $140,000 annually, with eligibility for bonuses. Final compensation will be influenced by qualifications, expertise, and geographical location.
