Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Regional Sales Executive to enhance our operations in San Antonio, Texas. This role involves overseeing and cultivating a moderately complex portfolio of agency assignments. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Maximizing growth opportunities with a select group of independent agents while actively seeking to onboard new agencies.
- Achieving or surpassing annual growth and profitability targets through the implementation of our Sales Playbook within a consultative sales framework.
- Gathering competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborating with colleagues both in the field and at headquarters on product offerings, pricing strategies, underwriting, and agency management.
Agent Support:
- Utilizes agency diagnostics and segmentation to optimize sales efforts in the field.
- Engages in the prospecting and onboarding of new agents to meet production goals.
- Identifies potential strategic partnerships and distribution channels within the designated territory.
- Provides training for both new and existing agents on our quoting platform, product offerings, and underwriting guidelines.
- Drives profitable growth across all agencies within the assigned territory.
- Encourages agents to promote and sell our products effectively.
- Implements a sales strategy aimed at increasing market share by appointing and mentoring new agents.
- Communicates a sales process that addresses agency needs while providing beneficial solutions.
- Maintains consistent communication and feedback with agents and team members.
- Develops strategic marketing plans to identify opportunities and challenges within the territory.
- Implements best practices in agency operations and follows up to ensure accountability.
- Understands the operational differences among various agency types and adjusts strategies accordingly.
- Analyzes the current business cycle and market share of agencies to motivate agents towards success.
- Initiates marketing processes within agencies to attract and retain new business.
- Directs customer service, underwriting, claims, and licensing matters to the appropriate channels.
- Possesses in-depth knowledge of our quoting platform and assists agents with system-related issues.
- Identifies opportunities for book transfers and negotiates commitments to ensure successful outcomes.
- Maintains adaptability in working with diverse personalities.
- Creates strategic agency plans that require disciplined follow-up to achieve business objectives.
- Stays informed on competitor products, coverage, and pricing adjustments.
- Articulates the company’s position and seeks business opportunities with suitable agencies.
- A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience.
- Five years of sales or insurance industry experience is preferred.
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of agency diagnostics and the ability to provide strategic sales insights.
- Advanced skills in influencing sales and advising agents.
- Proven ability to deliver results and meet established goals.
- Exceptional relationship management and communication skills.
- Demonstrated resilience and commitment to achieving outcomes.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment.
- Integrity and a high level of dependability.
- Technical proficiency and ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
