Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team at MetroHealth. As a key member of our ambulatory practice, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients and families, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless registration and scheduling experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze patient demographic and payor data to optimize reimbursement for MetroHealth
  • Ensure accurate and timely patient registration, scheduling, pre-certification, and authorization for services
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to resolve patient concerns and issues
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports
  • Stay current with changing regulations and policies affecting patient access and reimbursement
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • One year of experience in medical billing or patient registration, or education related to medical billing or patient registration from an accredited institution
  • Current certification as a Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred
  • Ability to pass the PSR pre-employment screening test with a score of 75% or better and the post-employment test with a score of 80% or better
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of relevant work experience and/or education
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day
  • Ability to communicate effectively in face-to-face, phone, and written interactions
