Work Schedule:
Part-Time/Day
Hours: 20 hours/week, 7 am – 12 pm, 4 days a week, primarily weekdays

Role Overview:
The registered dietitian employs the nutrition care process to evaluate, assess, diagnose, provide nutrition interventions, and monitor the nutritional status and progress of patients. The registered dietitian adheres to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Standards of Practice in Nutrition Care and Standards of Professional Performance. Actively engages in exceptional customer service and maintains respectful relationships with all stakeholders.
Key Contributions to the Team:
+ Assessment:
- Conducts nutrition-focused physical assessments, collects measurements, reviews medical histories, gathers data through interviews, employs validated tools, evaluates anthropometric data, and calculates estimated comparative standards.
- Analyzes assessment data to identify nutrition risks, nutrition-related issues, criteria consistent with malnutrition, knowledge gaps, and/or high-risk health behaviors.
- Provides nutrition recommendations, orders, education/counseling, and/or referrals to additional services.
- Delivers counseling and education that reflects appropriate health literacy and cultural sensitivity to patients with conditions requiring nutritional management.
+ Monitoring:
- Ensures follow-up to assess progress.
+ Leadership:
- Provides supervised practice experiences for dietetic interns and new staff that meet learning objectives.
Qualifications:
Essential Expertise and Experience:
+ Bachelor's degree in nutrition or a related field
+ Commission on Dietetic Registration
+ Current active registered dietitian status with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
+ Current active licensure in the state of practice.
