Your Role:
As a registered dietitian, you will implement the nutrition care process to screen, assess, diagnose, provide nutrition interventions, and monitor patients' nutritional status and progress.
Utilizing the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Standards of Practice, you will engage in outstanding customer service and foster respectful relationships.
Your Contributions:
Assessment: Conduct thorough nutrition-focused physical assessments, gather data through interviews, and evaluate anthropometric status.
Diagnosis: Analyze assessment data to identify nutrition risks and problems, including malnutrition and knowledge deficits.
Intervention: Provide nutrition recommendations, education, and referrals as necessary.
Education and Counseling: Deliver culturally sensitive counseling and education tailored to patients with specific nutritional needs.
Monitoring: Offer follow-up to track progress and adjust nutrition care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
Leadership: Facilitate supervised practice experiences for dietetic interns and new hires, while staying updated on research and evidence-based guidelines.
Qualifications Required:
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in nutrition or a related field with 8 years of clinical experience
- OR Graduate degree in nutrition or a related field with 6 years of clinical experience
- OR Post-Graduate degree in nutrition or a related field with 4 years of clinical experience
Preferred:
- Graduate degree in nutrition or a related field
- Active registered dietitian status with the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR) and current licensed status with the relevant health department
- Board Certified specialist in the relevant practice area through CDR or nutrition support through the National Board of Nutrition Support (specialty requirements may vary based on position).
