The Pediatric Nutrition Specialist employs the nutrition care process to evaluate, diagnose, and implement nutrition interventions for pediatric patients. Utilizing the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Standards of Practice, the registered dietitian ensures high-quality nutrition care and monitors patient progress effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop tailored nutrition plans.
- Provide ongoing monitoring and support to optimize patient health outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to integrate nutrition care into overall patient management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in nutrition or a related field with a minimum of 4 years of clinical experience.
- Alternatively, a graduate degree in nutrition or a related field with at least 2 years of clinical experience.
- Post-graduate degree in nutrition or a related field with a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience.
Licensure and Certification:
- CSP - Certified Specialist in Pediatrics.
- Active registered dietitian status with the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Current active licensed status with the Florida Department of Health.
Work Schedule:
Full-time position with an 8-hour shift.
Compensation:
Hourly rate of $40.44.
