Reports to: General Manager

Position Overview: Under general supervision, Sales Specialists offer guidance and education to each customer with medical cannabis needs. Specialists assist every customer to ensure they are receiving the appropriate products that will best support their specific health conditions.

Compensation: $ Tips + Benefits

Work Schedule: Part-time, including weekends

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Verify customer purchase limits prior to entry into the consultation area and notify the relevant pharmacist of such limits.
  • Deliver Exceptional Customer Service by fostering and maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Respond to inquiries from customers via calls or emails regarding products, training, and general information.
  • Manage customer records using a medical marijuana database.
  • Maintain and update databases as necessary.
  • Process customer orders efficiently.
  • Promote and sell all products offered by The Cannabist.
  • Establish and uphold a high level of integrity and trust for specific products.

Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Two years of direct customer service experience required.
  • MED Badge.
  • Retail experience is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with Point-of-Sales systems.
  • Proficient in Windows Operating System and Microsoft Outlook.

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Additional Abilities Required:

  • While performing the duties of this role, the employee is required to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods, use hands for manual tasks, and lift or move up to 10 pounds (or more with assistance). The ability to communicate verbally with co-workers, customers, vendors, etc., is essential. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
