Department Overview

The Georgia Tech Athletic Association (GTAA) oversees intercollegiate athletics in 17 NCAA Division I sports. Our programs aim for national championships while engaging a passionate fan base and upholding cherished traditions.

Position Summary

This role is responsible for the management, upkeep, and operation of the Athletic Association's broadcast facilities and video equipment across various athletic venues. The Senior Broadcast Engineer will also oversee engineering for live broadcasts and video presentations, collaborating with athletic staff and external partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facility Management: Oversee the maintenance and operation of the Athletic Association's broadcast facilities and remote locations.
  • Broadcast Engineering: Direct technical operations for live broadcasts and video presentations.
  • Equipment Oversight: Maintain broadcasting equipment, software, and network applications.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of audio/visual equipment.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Provide guidance on workflows related to video production systems.
  • Liaison Role: Act as a key contact for external broadcast partners.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to NCAA, ACC, and institutional regulations.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Experience: 5-7 years in a related role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

This position requires a deep understanding of video production equipment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to provide strategic direction are essential.
