Department Overview
The Georgia Tech Athletic Association (GTAA) oversees competitive athletics across 17 NCAA Division I sports. Our programs are steeped in tradition and aim for national recognition.
This role is responsible for the management and operation of the Athletic Association's Control Room and video equipment across various venues. The Senior Broadcast Engineer will oversee engineering tasks for live broadcasts and video presentations, collaborating with athletic staff and external partners.
Key Responsibilities1. Facility Management:
Oversee the maintenance and operation of the Athletic Association's broadcast facilities and equipment.
2. Engineering Direction:
Lead technical operations for live broadcasts and video productions.
3. Equipment Oversight:
Maintain and troubleshoot broadcasting equipment and network applications.
4. Preventative Maintenance:
Conduct regular maintenance checks on audio/visual equipment.
5. Subject Matter Expertise:
Provide guidance on media management and production workflows.
6. Liaison Role:
Act as a primary contact for external broadcast partners.
7. Compliance Assurance:
Ensure adherence to NCAA and institutional regulations.
8. Additional Duties:
Perform other related responsibilities as required.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Experience:
5-7 years of relevant professional experience.
Abilities:
Ability to stand, walk, and utilize hands regularly.
Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of video production equipment and broadcast technologies, alongside strong communication and problem-solving skills.
