About the Role...
This role involves reporting to the BIT Manager and entails ensuring efficient and professional support for a 24x7x365 broadcast environment. Apart from managing broadcast-related support calls and monitoring broadcast quality and performance, the BIT Supervisor oversees Turner's BEST Incident Management and Request Fulfillment processes. They are responsible for offering high-level project management, guiding technical support professionals, ensuring compliance with processes, and identifying opportunities for service enhancements. The role includes managing unresolved On-Air issues, project activities, and the broadcasting environment's status between shifts. The BIT Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining Service Level Targets, auditing processes for efficiency, and managing knowledge delivery to their team and customers.
Your Responsibilities...
- Oversight of remote and on-site user support for broadcast infrastructure and systems to resolve customer or broadcast transmission issues
- Engage on urgent On-Air/Critical issues and manage escalations and communications effectively
- Collaborate with technical departments to implement solutions for service restoration and improvement
- Provide project management oversight for technical staff and monitor production broadcast systems for quality
- Identify automation opportunities and engage partners for process improvements
- Survey customers/partners for feedback and develop metrics for performance evaluation
- Manage technical staff scheduling, training, and performance reviews
- Ensure the development and maintenance of knowledge resources to support roles
- Maintain a strong technical skillset for providing innovative solutions
- Experience in people management within Broadcast Engineering
- 5+ years in engineering support in a television broadcast environment
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in broadcast engineering systems
- Proficiency in the use of broadcast test equipment
