Your Career Journey Begins HerePosition Overview
The Automotive Retail Operations Leader is accountable for guiding the daily operations of the store and leading the team.
This role is integral to Monro's vision of becoming a leader in the automotive and tire service sector, earning consumer trust as the premier destination for quality maintenance and repairs.
Compensation:
$22.00-$30.00 per hour, with additional incentives and compensation opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cultivate sales and technical team members to deliver a consistent 5-star guest experience.
2. Drive sales performance by assisting in the creation and execution of sales strategies, while maintaining a thorough understanding of services, products, and the automotive landscape.
3. Introduce tire and service offerings to guests to enhance sales, satisfaction, and loyalty.4. Support team members in creating and sustaining a productive sales atmosphere through training and development on all operational and guest service aspects.
5. Ensure optimal staffing levels by managing recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, and development of team members.
6. Oversee expense management by controlling payroll, communication costs, store maintenance, supplies, utilities, and other variable expenses.
7. Perform additional duties as required.Management Duties:
The Automotive Retail Operations Leader provides daily guidance to all store positions, including General Service Technicians, Technicians, Technical Service Manager, Service Manager, and Assistant Store Manager.
This role operates under the general supervision of the District Manager.Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of proven leadership experience in a retail or sales environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, drive, and achieve financial outcomes while controlling costs.
- Strong capability to influence and motivate a team to meet established goals and objectives.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Guest and team-oriented mindset with extensive experience in customer-facing environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating technical issues and preparing routine reports.
- Business-oriented mentality with a strong drive to exceed set objectives.
- Basic mathematical skills for calculating figures such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
- Proactive with a proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to identify problems, gather data, and establish facts to make informed decisions and solutions.
- Proficient in mentoring, coaching, and developing team members.
Monro conducts background checks for positions with security and/or financial responsibilities, in compliance with applicable laws.Consideration will be given to the nature of any criminal record in relation to the position sought.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
This role operates in an automotive shop setting, with exposure to moderate noise levels, adverse weather, chemicals, and dust.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift, carry, and stock merchandise and supplies up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Frequent standing and walking for extended periods.
- Frequent overhead and below-the-knee reaching, including squatting, bending, and twisting.
