**Key Responsibilities**

The Optical Retail Leader will create exceptional value in the lives of customers and patients by delivering outstanding customer service, ensuring they're consistently delighted. This role will also assist in achieving store success by managing key optical and lab processes and systems to exceptional results.

**Major Duties and Responsibilities**

While working in retail:

  • Ensure the LensCrafters team provides unparalleled customer service, fostering trust and loyalty among our clientele.
  • Proactively and accurately execute tasks, leveraging product knowledge to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist customers with selections, provide personalized recommendations, and support sales associates to create a seamless shopping experience.
  • Serve as a responsible alternate store key holder, ensuring store operations run smoothly in your absence.

While working in Lab (if applicable):

  • Custom-fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses to meet exacting optical standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance their knowledge, skills, and certification in foundational products and store processes related to lens and lab technology.
  • Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements, upholding the highest quality standards.
  • Create a safe working environment for all team members, demonstrating safe work practices and adhering to industry regulations.
  • Responsible for basic operation, cleaning, and ongoing maintenance of lab tools and systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

**Essential Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong optical and retail experience, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise, staying up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Basic math skills, with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Sales skills, with the ability to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets.
  • Problem-solving ability, with a focus on finding efficient solutions to complex challenges.
  • Familiarity with cash registers, computers, and calculators, with the ability to adapt to new technology.
  • Leadership and training experience, with a focus on developing and mentoring team members.
  • Edging and mounting experience, with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • Basic optics knowledge and optical measurement experience, with a focus on accuracy and precision.

**Preferred Qualifications**

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • State licensure (if applicable) and/or ABO Certification in non-licensed states.
  • LensCrafters Final Eyewear Inspector Certification.
  • LensCrafters Quality, Fitting, and Adjusting Program.
  • Optical machinery and instruments experience.
  • Customer service experience, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences.
  • AccuFit Digital Measurement System certification.
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise and lens options, with a focus on staying up-to-date with industry trends.

**Estimated Salary:** $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
