Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products and services offered for sale, effectively presenting and explaining features and benefits to customers.
  • Establish and fulfill daily, weekly, and monthly prospecting and sales goals, utilizing time effectively.
  • Assist customers, answer questions, and help select a vehicle that meets their needs.
  • Offer test drives, following dealership procedures to obtain proper identification.
  • Keep abreast of new products, features, and accessories, translating their benefits to customers.
  • Refer closed deals to the finance and insurance manager, ensuring proper paperwork.
  • Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery, ensuring understanding of vehicle features, warranty, and paperwork.
  • Introduce customers to service department personnel, emphasizing quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain a buyer follow-up system, encouraging repeat and referral business, and contributing to customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid California state sales license.
  • Valid Driver's license and safe driving record, with California licensure within 30 days.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of the job description.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous automotive sales experience.
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to recognize customer needs.
  • Ability to operate the store's point of sales system.
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly stands, walks, sits, uses hands, reaches with hands and arms, talks, and hears.
  • Occasionally climbs or balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls, lifts up to 15 pounds.
Environment/Noise:
  • Noise level is moderate.
