Position Overview

The Executive Leadership Trainee (ELT) role is designed to cultivate future leaders for the position of Executive Director, overseeing a Deercreekseniorliving affiliated operation. This comprehensive training program lasts approximately 3-6 months and is compensated accordingly. Successful trainees will transition into leadership roles within our network, supported by their peers and mentors.

ELTs will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic operational setting under the guidance of seasoned Executive Directors. This program includes mentorship from experienced leaders, ensuring a deep understanding of our organizational culture, operational models, and the skills necessary for effective leadership. Participants will engage in various training activities, including:

  • Shadowing different roles within the organization to learn about responsibilities and best practices.
  • Participating in specialized training sessions and workshops.
  • Taking on meaningful projects that contribute to operational success.
  • Receiving feedback and guidance from their mentors to enhance their leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Utilize the ELT Competency Checklist to identify personal strengths and areas for improvement.
  2. Conduct weekly meetings with their mentor to discuss progress and set goals.
  3. Foster relationships with team members and communicate effectively about needs and opportunities.
  4. Engage in ongoing training and development activities.
  5. Demonstrate adherence to our core values in all interactions.
  6. Manage financial aspects, including budgeting and cost control.
  7. Understand clinical operations and quality management.
  8. Represent the organization positively within the community.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of proven leadership experience with measurable outcomes.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred; an MBA or MHA is advantageous.
  • Ability to meet state licensing requirements as necessary.
