About the Role:
Lifespace Communities is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our community in the Pittsburgh area. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing and implementing strategic plans, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional resident experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance resident satisfaction.
- Team Management: Attract, recruit, hire, develop, and retain key leadership and management teams to ensure the success of the community.
- Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with residents, resident family members, team members, professional organizations, and community groups to promote a culture of excellence and resident satisfaction.
- Operational Excellence: Meet regularly with Lifespace Senior Leadership to report on operational issues, trends, barriers, and resolutions, and initiate programs to adhere to all OSHA, workers' compensation, and risk avoidance protocols.
- Marketing and Sales: Collaborate with the local Director of Sales and Marketing, Regional Director Sales, and Marketing, and Vice President Sales and Marketing to ensure clear expectations, monitor, and maintain accountability to support day-to-day marketing activities and programs to meet budgeted monthly and annual sales goals.
- Financial Management: Prepare the community's annual operating budget, considering possible variances, and manage programs and strategies to ensure budgets are met.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, gerontology, hotel/restaurant management, or a closely related area. Master's degree is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of experience as an executive director or administrator within a continuing care retirement community, or a minimum of ten (10) years of experience as an executive director or administrator in a long-term care senior living environment, or a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive leadership with the hospitality industry.
