Position Overview

The Executive Leadership Trainee (ELT) program is designed to cultivate future leaders for the role of Executive Director, overseeing a Deercreekseniorliving facility. This full-time, compensated training initiative lasts approximately 3-6 months, tailored to the individual's experience and industry insight. Successful trainees will transition into leadership roles, supported by a network of peers managing their own Deercreekseniorliving locations.

Participants will receive hands-on training in a dynamic operational setting, working closely with an experienced Executive Director. The program emphasizes mentorship from established leaders, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of our core values, operational frameworks, and the essential qualities required for effective leadership within our organization. The ELT program encompasses practical training across various roles, shadowing healthcare professionals to grasp our service delivery, collaborating with administrative teams to understand business operations, and engaging in self-directed learning about industry regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Utilize the ELT Competency Checklist to evaluate personal strengths and areas for improvement.
  2. Conduct weekly meetings with the assigned mentor (Executive Director) to discuss progress on the Competency Checklist.
  3. Foster relationships with leadership team members to identify needs and opportunities for growth.
  4. Observe and learn from various positions within the organization to understand roles and responsibilities.
  5. Participate actively in quarterly training sessions.
  6. Engage in weekly leadership development calls.
  7. Contribute to cluster discussions and initiatives.
  8. Exhibit the ability to provide and receive constructive feedback, aligned with Deercreekseniorliving's core values.
  9. Demonstrate leadership qualities that reflect our core values, including:

Qualifications

  1. A minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated leadership experience with successful outcomes.
  2. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred; an MBA or MHA is advantageous.
  3. Ability to meet state licensing requirements as applicable.
