Role Summary:
The Value-Added Process Engineer is responsible for providing comprehensive technical support to the Offline Value Added Processes, which include glass processing techniques such as cutting, polishing, drilling, washing, and tempering, specifically for the production of solar cell backing glass.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and create databases for benchmarking and analytical purposes.
  • Conduct data analysis and correlation studies to meet specific requirements.
  • Review existing and new construction designs and integrate them into CAD drawings.
  • Maintain the database of CAD, electronic, microfilm, and paper drawings of Vitro facilities.
  • Evaluate and implement process enhancements in coated glass processing.
  • Assist in budget and scheduling reviews for the area, supporting the operational team in achieving their annual objectives.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary teams to address glass furnace process requirements.
  • Provide training assistance.
  • Participate in focus groups and collaborate with various departments, including sales, marketing, R&D, operations, and manufacturing, to address float glass furnace needs.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on the development of new equipment.

Qualifications:
This role necessitates a BS/Engineering degree or a minimum of five years of equivalent experience in chemical process engineering. Strong interpersonal skills and a solid understanding of business principles are essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively across various media and levels. Familiarity with construction accounting and knowledge of business and construction legalities is advantageous.
