Position Overview
The Naval Reactors Facility is seeking a skilled Radiological Engineer to become a vital part of the Radiological Controls Department, working alongside a dedicated team of Engineers and Technicians.

Key Responsibilities
This role involves:

  • Oversight and approval of radiological tasks.
  • Writing and reviewing technical documentation and procedures.
  • Conducting data analysis and trending.
  • Validating engineering designs for equipment used in radiological operations and systems.
  • Monitoring the execution of radiological work.

Required Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in an engineering or science-related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or
  • A Master's degree in an engineering or science-related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience; or
  • Current or previous qualification as an Engineering Officer of the Watch (EOOW) in the Nuclear Operations Program; or
  • Qualification as a Senior Reactor Operator (SRE).

Preferred Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have:

  • Educational background in Radiation Health or Nuclear Engineering.
  • Experience with the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.

Salary Range
The annual salary for this position ranges from $76,000 to $117,000, based on the candidate's experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Additional Information
All candidates must be U.S. citizens and will undergo a Federal background investigation to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Candidates must also pass a drug test in compliance with company policy.
