Position Overview

The Naval Reactors Facility is on the lookout for an entry-level Radiological Engineer to become a vital member of our Radiological Controls Department, which consists of Engineers and Technicians.

This role entails:

  • Oversight and approval of radiological tasks
  • Writing and reviewing technical documentation and procedures
  • Conducting data analysis and trend evaluation
  • Validating engineering designs for equipment related to radiological operations and systems
  • Supervising the execution of radiological tasks

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an engineering or science-related field; or a Master's degree in a similar discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

A degree in Health Physics or Nuclear Engineering is highly desirable.

Salary Information

The annual salary range for this position is $62,000 to $94,900. This figure serves as a general guideline and may vary based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and market conditions.

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory operates under the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and is managed by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
