Position Overview

Unit Description:

Are you meticulous and passionate about financial analysis? Do you excel at interpreting data and identifying trends that influence profitability?

Sodexo's Campus Segment is in search of a dedicated Multi-Unit Financial Controller to oversee financial operations across various accounts. This role will closely collaborate with Unit Operations Managers to manage financial aspects for our expanding portfolio.

The Multi-Unit Financial Controller will be responsible for providing financial support, including weekly projections, participation in budget reviews, updates on forecasts, and periodic reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact for financial projections and inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and budgeting standards.
  • Prepare and analyze weekly financial reports for the institution.
  • Evaluate financial data from all units in preparation for weekly district discussions.
  • Assist managers during weekly financial reviews, addressing issues and ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Guide Managers, Chefs, and Operations Managers on financial performance.
  • Collaborate with the District Manager to consolidate weekly financial variances and provide insights.
  • Analyze month-end financial reports and develop corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Facilitate the annual budgeting process, supporting general managers and controllers.
  • Oversee monthly re-forecasting for all units and ensure timely completion of reports.
  • Deliver training for general managers and unit staff on financial systems.
  • Conduct audits of inventory and cash handling practices.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as required.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience or education in finance or accounting.
  • Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills.
  • Capability to manage core responsibilities while engaging in departmental initiatives.
  • Proficient in analytical tasks, with strong MS Excel skills and experience with financial systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
