We are in search of a seasoned and strategic Senior Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to spearhead our financial planning, forecasting, and analytical functions.
The ideal candidate flourishes in a dynamic environment and possesses a profound understanding of the insurance sector, alongside exceptional analytical capabilities and a proven history of leading cross-functional teams (especially with Investment & Actuarial teams) to enhance financial performance and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Oversight:
Direct the formulation and execution of financial strategies that align with the organization's overarching business goals.
Provide strategic insights to senior leadership based on comprehensive financial analysis and forecasts.
Financial Planning and Projections:
Oversee the annual budgeting cycle, including the creation of detailed financial models.
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting activities to ensure precise and timely financial projections.
Financial Evaluation:
Conduct thorough assessments of financial performance, identifying trends, and delivering actionable insights to inform business decisions.
Assess financial implications of strategic initiatives, new product introductions, and other business opportunities.
Reporting and Communication:
Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior leadership.
Develop and maintain dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor financial performance.
Team Leadership and Development:
Guide and mentor a team of financial analysts, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Offer training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and career advancement.
Collaboration and Cross-Departmental Support:
Collaborate closely with other departments (e.g., Investments / Portfolio Management, Actuarial, Treasury / Capital Management, Risk, etc.) to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.
Risk Management and Compliance:
Ensure adherence to financial regulations and industry standards.
Identify and mitigate financial risks, implementing effective controls and processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. FSA, MBA, or CFA is advantageous.
Experience:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate development, and/or actuarial analysis with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to convert complex data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior management and stakeholders.
Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting tools, as well as advanced knowledge of Excel and financial software systems.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with a focus on developing and mentoring team members.
High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality in financial reporting and analysis.
$174,000 - $261,600.00 USD Annual
The annual salary for this position is competitive within the market.
The actual salary for all roles will be determined based on geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements, and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
