Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Design Sr. Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure development team, you will be responsible for developing and preparing work plans and proposals for engineering services related to site/civil consultation and design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Management
    • Develop and prepare work plans and proposals for engineering services related to site/civil consultation and design.
    • Manage project schedules and budgets for various projects.
    • Plan, organize, supervise, and conduct field evaluations and inspections as necessary.
  • Design and Development
    • Prepare, deliver, and discuss design and bid documents with clients.
    • Develop design details and specify appropriate construction materials.
    • Conduct pre-proposal, pre-construction, and construction progress meetings, and prepare minutes of those meetings.
  • Client Communication and Relationship Building
    • Develop and present project-specific or technical presentations to clients, technical organizations, and in-house staff.
    • Partner with Project Managers and Project Directors to address client concerns and communicate changes to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Business Development and Growth
    • Assist Project Managers in managing projects requiring financial, technical, and administrative leadership.
    • Develop and present business strategies and action plans for creating growth opportunities.
    • Work with Business Development staff to bring new clients and business opportunities to the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Professional Registration is required.
  • 7+ years of demonstrated site development experience including site layout, grading, utility design, pavement design, permitting, budgeting, jurisdictional agency interaction, and other related project activities.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D required; Infrastructure Suite or MicroStation experience is a plus.
  • Preferred experience with Hydrologic and Hydraulic Modeling software, including proficient use of HEC-HMS, SWMM, Storm and Sanitary Analysis, or others.
