Position Overview:

The Senior Logistics Systems Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting various ongoing initiatives within the MST business sector. This position demands an in-depth understanding of U.S. Department of Defense logistics operations and encompasses the creation of comprehensive Logistics Support Analysis (LSA). The Senior Engineer will frequently collaborate with design, systems, and software engineers to ensure that Integrated Product Support (IPS) requirements are thoroughly addressed.

About Integrated Product Support:

At SNC, Integrated Product Support is defined as a cohesive and iterative methodology that encompasses the management and technical activities necessary to shape operational and material requirements as well as design specifications for logistical support. This process integrates all facets of logistical support into the system or equipment design and considers these aspects throughout the entire lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively plan, organize, and manage logistical requirements for the design, deployment, installation, and maintenance of programs, including the development of proposals and Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSP).
  • Lead the logistics program presentations for formal design reviews, ensuring compliance with all logistics-related criteria.
  • Coordinate program activities to provide subcontractors and customers with logistics deliverables that guarantee efficient support for manufacturing and servicing.
  • Oversee the creation of documentation for maintenance tasks, provisioning documentation, and training materials, ensuring adherence to relevant military standards.
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Generate measurable artifacts to track progress against key program milestones, while managing the logistics team throughout development.
  • Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and possess strong communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel for design presentations and provisioning conferences.
  • Ensure logistics programs are executed in accordance with established quality and schedule requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related field, with typically 10 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Proven knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
  • Advanced analytical skills and familiarity with logistics database tools.
  • Experience in Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA) and Level Of Repair Analysis (LORA).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Product Life Management (PLM) tools.
  • Subject Matter Expertise in logistics software applications.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
