POSITION TITLE: Mobile Crisis Intervention Specialist

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time, 40 hours/week

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 11am-7pm, with flexible hours

PROGRAM: Mobile Crisis Response Team

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
Our Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) is dedicated to providing immediate assistance to individuals experiencing crises in the community. We respond to referrals from various sources, including healthcare providers, family members, and law enforcement. Our responsibilities encompass telephone triage, mobile assessments, risk evaluations, de-escalation techniques, safety planning, and facilitating connections to emergency services and community resources.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct thorough crisis assessments for adults in distress, ensuring their safety and addressing their needs, often in collaboration with law enforcement.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans that incorporate community-based health and social services to effectively manage the crisis.
  • Foster an inclusive and equitable work environment.
  • Engage with individuals in crisis and their support systems to enhance their strengths and coping strategies, while creating effective discharge plans.
  • Assist individuals in accessing necessary services.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client progress.
  • Recognize and respect individual and cultural differences that impact behavior, applying this understanding sensitively.
  • Build collaborative relationships with natural supports and other service providers to fulfill the program's mission.
  • Conduct assessments in various settings, including home and community environments.
  • Interact with clients, families, and colleagues in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies regarding client and staff records.
  • Participate in regular supervision and team meetings to discuss client and program progress.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development as required by licensure and agency standards.
  • Provide clinical supervision to graduate-level interns.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master’s Degree or higher in a mental health-related field.
Experience: Proven expertise as a psychotherapist, particularly with individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges. Comprehensive training in mental health treatment, assessment, and therapy is essential.
Skills: Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal. Capacity to remain composed and focused in high-pressure situations while demonstrating compassion and clarity. Flexibility in working with individuals in crisis and the ability to work independently.
Licensure: LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or eligibility for these credentials. An Associate License is required; a full license is preferred.
