Sales Support Specialist

Role Summary:
As a Sales Support Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to assist our capital sales team by providing essential sales support and delivering technical information to our clients. This role will require collaboration with various departments, including Capital Sales Engineering, Application Engineering, Service, and Contract Administration, to ensure that our customers receive the necessary follow-up and ancillary products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster and maintain customer relationships to address their needs from the initial sale through the complete integration of new machine tools.
- Serve as the central resource for information regarding accessories, including work holding and tooling.
- Address inquiries and product requests from customers and field staff, while resolving application-related issues.
- Identify and nurture partnerships with technology providers to support both customers and field personnel.
- Stay engaged with customer projects to assist in future technology enhancements, timelines, and budget considerations.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the machine tool industry and the product lines represented by the company.

Qualifications:
- A 2-year college degree is preferred, though not mandatory. Familiarity with manufacturing technology, tooling, and part inspection is advantageous but not essential. We are willing to train the right candidate without prior experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to interpret various forms of instructions, whether written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled.
Travel Requirements:
Frequent travel within a regional sales territory is necessary, including occasional overnight stays.
