Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments as per the Medication Administration Record (MAR) and Treatment Administration Record (TAR).
  • Provide personal care and general nursing support to residents as required.
  • Ensure that all residents receive appropriate care and services, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), maintaining room cleanliness, and participating in scheduled activities.
  • Supervise self-administered medication for the Assisted Living Department, adhering to Federal and State regulations.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks of medications, ensuring all narcotics are counted and discrepancies reported immediately.
  • Order and verify medication supplies, notifying supervisors of any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Maintain proper storage of medications, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Document all relevant information in daily logs and communicate any concerns to supervisors.
  • Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and eating.
  • Monitor vital signs and document changes as necessary.
  • Participate in staff training and in-service programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant experience or training preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 1 month in a similar role, preferably in a senior living environment.
Certifications: Current Medication Technician certification as per state regulations.
Skills: Proficient in English for effective communication; basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
