Position Overview: The Buyer/Planner Lead is tasked with overseeing the planning and acquisition of production materials while maintaining optimal inventory levels. This role is pivotal in managing MRO purchasing for the acquisition of materials, equipment, supplies, and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and guide a team of component purchasing and procurement specialists.
  • Formulate and execute strategic business plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with various departments to assess and prioritize procurement requirements.
  • Evaluate operational outcomes to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Investigate and resolve procurement challenges, including budget implications and supplier evaluations.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external vendors in the absence of a dedicated vendor relations specialist.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management.

Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Purchasing, Inventory Control, and ERP systems.

Skills: Strong proficiency in both oral and written communication.

Location: Tallassee, Alabama
