Position Overview
As a Financial Planning Analyst at our Syracuse facility, you will be instrumental in delivering analytical support to financial operations, enhancing business value, and managing potential risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver precise and timely information for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closings, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting.
  • Oversee internal controls and coordinate compliance with SOX regulations.
  • Prepare financial statements to summarize and project the company's financial position.
  • Manage balance sheets and conduct analyses of future earnings and expenditures.
  • Assist in the management of accounting, auditing, and budgeting processes within the organization.
  • Support audit preparations and reconcile any accounting discrepancies.
  • Ensure adherence to government regulations and prepare necessary reports.
  • Utilize accounting software for record maintenance and report generation.
  • Delegate accounting tasks to team members as appropriate.
  • Prepare reports for the Controller and senior management.
  • Contribute to team objectives by completing related tasks as needed.
  • Support capital expenditure planning and business case development.
  • Exhibit key organizational behaviors related to safety culture, values, ethics, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • 4-5 years of experience in finance or accounting, particularly with P&L responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with US GAAP and SOX compliance.
  • Meticulous attention to detail along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with a collaborative mindset.
  • Proficient in relevant computer systems, including Microsoft Office, Google applications, and BI tools.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teamwork in a high-performance environment.
  • Strong oral, presentation, and written communication abilities.
  • Well-developed leadership and project management skills.
